Total Reconstruction & Widening, SR 50 to Minneola Interchange

JBS provided Construction Engineering & Inspection for the total reconstruction and widening of Florida’s Turnpike mainline from SR 50 to the Minneola Interchange, Mile Post 273 to Mile Post 279.

The project consisted of 10 bridges, widening the mainline from four to eight lanes, and reconstruction of the interchange ramps. A new toll gantry and electronic tolling system were also installed as part of the completed work.

  • Total reconstruction and widening of Florida’s Turnpike mainline, SR 50 to the Minneola Interchange
  • Construction of 10 new and replacement bridges
  • Mainline widening from 4 to 8 lanes of roadway
  • Interchange ramp reconstruction
  • Installation of a new toll gantry and electronic tolling system

The project team documented construction progress with monthly drone aerial photography from January 2025 through March 2026, capturing 412 photos along the corridor from Mile Marker 272.5 to 279.5 in both directions.
